Universal Studios Classic Monster park
« on: February 04, 2020, 09:08:37 AM »
There was some discussion here somewhere (I don't recall what thread.) of Universal Studios (Florida) park expansion and the possibility that one of the new areas would be Universal monster themed, well it looks like it's happening.....let's just hope the park isn't dependent on the new films turning a profit.

I'm a long way from Florida but would make the journey when this becomes reality. Thanks, zombiehorror.

I checked the date on your post, to make sure it was recent. If this comes to pass, I definitely want to see this.

I lived in Florida in my youth. It's a swamp. I wouldn't go back for anything. Hopefully, this will come to California.

If it gets made, I think the Universal Monsters park will be a section of Universal's larger new theme park "Epic Universe", so I don't imagine it'll be coming to the California park as well. That said, I was reading that they might be replacing the permanent Walking Dead maze with a new one based on the Universal Monsters (kind of like the popular one from HHN a couple years ago).

Correct, this is part of the new expansion (Epic Universe); not sure what kind of room they have to work with at the California park for expansion.

Here's an article with a video detailing and speculating on some of the park:

Updates on the construction of the Universal Monster section of Epic Universe. The entrance at first appears to be a craggy old tree but when you zoom in it appears to be what is left of tower where Dr. Frankenstein creates his monster
