'Good antiquing on this paint-up. I've never seen him looking so ... forgotten.

I had never heard of the Forgotten Prisoner when I was growing up in the '60s but know I would have loved it.  Then about 8 years ago I was in a hobby shop in Tampa and came across the Polar Lghts re-pop and bought it.  Of course four or so years later Moebius re-popped it as well.  Here is my build of it, a very cool monster kit.

Here is the kit I built a few years back.  I had stumbled across it in a small hobby shop in Tampa, FL which is now closed unfortunately.  Of course Moebius re-released it a while ago but it is out of production again.  A really cool kit that Uncle Forry was involved in.  I believe more with Forry's help were planned but never came about. Let's see if this picture insert works.

Nicely done! I really like the colours you picked for his tattered clothing.

After I had painted the clothing I mixed up white with a lot of thinner in my airbrush and sprayed it to try and tone it down and look old and rotted.  It worked reasonably well.

I'm currently working on the Forgotten Prisoner at a class I'm taking at my local art museum.  I've done the model in the past and it just didn't look good.  Hopefully I'll learn how to make it more realistic.

Hopefully the "realistic" doesn't turn out to be at odds with a classic monster kid build done to resemble the box art as closely as possible.
