I have no idea why, but this is the only forum where the posts are always formatted whacky! Time for an upgrade on software I think!

WTF? This forum software is outdated! I can't get it to post. Can someone tell me why the link isn't showing?

1.  Just Right Click on the playing YouTube video.

2.  Select "Copy Video URL" - that copies it to your clipboard.

Select a place in your UMA post where you want it to appear - and PASTE

It depends on what browser you're using.

I'm having the same problems with Firefox and Opera. Refuse to use that spy-laden Chrome crap though. Maybe Brave? But this is literallt the ONLY forum I have these formatting issues with. Really making posting a lot less fun.  :(

It doesn't seem like much of a hardship to click on a text link to see a video?  Next thing you'll want is to just drive by a restaurant and have them hand your food out a window to you!

You don't get it. I'll post screen shots next time. I know how to insert links. I now how to quote and use tags. It's the forum software doing some wonky stuff. The ONLY forum on the entire internet that I'm on that does this. I highlight someone I'm replying to, past it and click "quotes" and it makes the font almost invisibly small, or it inserts color tags or size tags. Happens with all 3 browsers I use. Not sure why. Or it inserts extra spaces. Re-sizes fonts. It's very strange software. Again, this is the ONLY forum I know of where I have to keep trying to recode posts. It happens nowhere else on any browser, so that means it must be the forum software.

Another example, it took me 12 tries to get the original post in this thread to work. The first time I wrote it, it reduced the size of all the fonts to something like 1, and it inserted about 20 line breaks between the first sentence and the link itself. Then when I hit preview, it showed (in the preview area), the video that I linked to. The opening scene, like you see other places. But yet when I hit post to publish it, it was only a link, a text link, not the video. Very strange things.

I'm not hearing about problems like this from anybody else. When only on person has a problem, I tend to think it's something on their end.

Do you use the "Quote" link/button when you want to quote someone? It sounds like you're writing code?

I usually think the same thing, but again it only happens on this forum. Not writing code, just using the tags above. I'll grab a screen capture next time, so we can figure  out what's going on.
