Making these things 3 3/4 is a smart move. Everything modern has gone to 3 3/4 or 3.75--same thing.

Marvel, DC, Star Wars, G.I.Joe--the last Star Trek film, Avatar--etc etc.

Making these guys this scale will hopefully turn on some of the newer generation and start a new "craze".

Thank you all so much for all of your comments. I too would love one day to see the originals come back exactly as they once were however the possibility of conflicts with the originals would be too great unless there were some differentiating features. Then however they would not be exact. Changing colors, design or materials may really change the figure too greatly. Lets see how these go; there is plenty more OSM to come down the line. Best, Gary.

WOW! Congrats Gary and Mel and THANK YOU! These look amazing. I had honestly been steeling myself for a far modern or beefy look to these guys, but so far it looks like the perfect harmony between the yesterday, today and tomorrow. Can't wait!

I have to admit, I'm very disappointed by the tiny size. They're very small at 3 3/4". And do the elbows and knees bend? Seems they have little articulation. I was more excited when I thought they were full sized like the originals. But they're still too cool to pass up, so I'll be buying them. They can pose well with my Micronauts!  ;D

Do not worry everyone. If you did not get in on time, my site will have a full compliment of SDCC exclusive figures as well as the real set as soon as they get here from China. Do not worry, you will all be taken care of. Best, Gary.

Hi everyone. I hope that you made it to the NYCC and you all enjoyed yourself. I just got in a bunch of Tako Tanks from a friend in Japan. I have paired them with Astro Nautilus for what I think is a totally cool future vehicle. Go over to the site to see the new front page; www.theouterspacemen.com Please let me know what you think. Thanks so much, Gary.

While I like that these are coming out, odds are we will pass on them, because we want largefigures.. either reissues of the originals, or larger 12" scaled rotocast ones.

The detail and articulation rotocast can do today is really amazing, and that would be a way to recreate the figures, but change them for a new generation.

Heck, we'd even join a online club like Matty Collector, and spring for a $30-$40 rotocast 12" scaled one every month if we had to.
