So evidently UMA users can see Youtube videos embedded in posts if they're using Firefox and their computers are equipped with Windows 10. Otherwise - no luck.

Fried Green Tomatoes, 1991 - Charming recollections of southern life prior to World War II with a murder mystery thrown in.

Kathy Bates plays a much softer character than she did Misery.

Told in the out-of-sequence segmented style of Pulp Fiction.

Great story-telling.  Want to score points with a date by sitting through a "chick flick" with her?  Try this one.  You just might like it, yourself.

For Love of the Game, 1999 - Nineteen year baseball veteran is facing the end of his career.

Kevin Costner.

For my money, one of the best baseball films ever made.  Offers more of a personal, inside experience than does the usual "and another home run" baseball movies.

The Haunted World of El Superbeasto

I regret it.  I keep thinking I should give Zombie another chance, because his enthusiasm is admirable, but it sucks.  It all sucks.  I'm not going to bother anymore.

Blackboard Jungle(1955)

It's one of the movies that I've watched again (after many years) during the Pandemic.  Love the young Vic Morrow, Paul Mazursky, Jamie Farr, Sidney Poitier, Anne Francis and sort of young Glen Ford.

Just saw the new Dune movie. I liked it quite a bit, but it is very sci-fi and is a slow burn. Also, be forewarned, this is the first of two movies, so the film does end in the middle of the story (though at a fairly good stopping point). That said, definitely one of the best made "blockbusters" I've seen in awhile.
