Photo hosting websites?
« on: May 25, 2019, 10:47:58 PM »
Sometimes I would like to post pictures on this forum. What are some legit FREE (I refuse to pay for photo hosting) photo hosting websites that allow relatively easy photo sharing (give a link I can use to post pictures)?

Is Flickr still a thing?

Flicker is still up and running and is what I and many others here use.

Flickr has limits on what you can save there for free.  I think it is $40 or $50 a year for unlimited space.  It seems reasonable to me.

I just lost ALL of about 30 years pictures because of a computer problem.  I am in the process of recovering many of my important pictures from Flickr - including everything I have ever posted on the UMA.  Unfortunately, my very private pictures are gone forever.  I should have saved them on Flickr in private files.  I could have at no extra cost.

Nuts!  I just found out I lost ALL of my CONTACTS, too - years of personal and hobby e-mail contacts and addresses.

Bummer about losing all your pics and stuff! You should back up everything on a separate HD.

I only pay $2.00 per month ($24.00 per year), for unlimited, at ImageShack. They just automatically take it out of my PayPal every month. Couldn't be easier and who's gonna miss $2.00?  :)

Sorry to hear about your lost pics Adam,I don't have a massive amount of pics on there so I still get it for free right now only those that I post here and the HMA.

I use imgur, which free and easy to use. I don't use it for storing personal photos, just ones that I want to share online
