They did a Claude Rains Phantom, man....hope springs eternal

That was a unusual choice, to pic the '43 over the '25 Phantom!

That's why I was so excited to see him in the line-up.  That's also why I was bummed about the 1/72 odds.  haha

*IF* they did a second set, who would be in it?

Creature from “Revenge” with chains
Creature from “Walks Among Us”
Lon Chaney Sr. as the Phantom
Lon Chaney Sr. as the Hunchback
Metaluna Mutant
The Monster from “Son of”
Werewolf of London
Kharis Mummy?
Mebbe a different pose for the Wolf Man?

Plus they already did Wolfman, Mummy, Frankenstein and others in this style....and they still did a new batch in the new style. I am hoping for a series 2. If we don't get them, oh well....no harm, no foul. I would love a Werewolf of London in this style.  A Cute little Monster on Campus would be neat too.  Those two never get any love. For that matter, Kharis is getting forgot a lot too these days.

It's because of Sarah Karloff's agreement with Universal, basically pushing Imhotep to the forefront of licensing agreements either directly or indirectly.  When we didn't have Karloff automatically come with the Universal Monster deal, there was more choice, and Chaney and Strange were almost default in the '90s.  I don't know what ever became of the Chaney lawsuit, but it didn't end with a Karloff like-deal.

Looks like they're doing keychains, too. (Turns out these are made by "Monogram", not Funko.)
