Monster Bubble Pens

I hope I didn't ask about these 4-5 years ago?  :-[

Anybody remember these? Says "collect them all", but I've only seen a Dracula a couple of times. Never seen a Creature in all these years.

I have a Frank.

But, I've never seen anything other than Drac & Frank.

There was no Creature released, and I'm unaware of any prototype.

Just to show you where my mind is at, the first thing I thought of when seeing this thread was those "Naked Lady" pens from way back when. The ones where you turned them over and the ladies' clothes came off. I can't or don't want to think of how that would work with Monsters.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

Actually, I *think* they made the four main monsters, with the intial release being a purple backed card that doesn't have the Creature nor Bride on it. The version you picture came out the next year and, as far as I knew, was sold at the Universal parks. Seeing a CVS sticker is a surprise. Again though, no Creature nor Bride.

That concept would work great with Jekyll & Hyde, Larry & Wolf Man, Invisible Man & Death Scene, Dracula Day & Night, Frankenstein Chained & Loose, Mummy Before Teatime & After.

Here is what a complete set of them look like. In addition to the pens, Style Club put out a bunch of cheap five and dime monster products in the early 90's, but only a couple of items in their lineup actually included the Creature or the Bride. I know I have the Wolf Man pen around here somewhere. Way back in 1991 or 1992 I wrote the company to find out why all their monster mechandise disappeared after the holidays, and they wrote back to say that it was only out for Halloween. I never made the connection, since most of it wasn't in the Halloween section, and Universal Monsters are for EVERY day of the year! But they did send me a cool box of freebie leftover swag, including that pen.

Yeah, the Mummy one is very cool. They sort of remind me of a "mini-me" version of the string of monster lights that were put out at the time (see below); which I wish included a Mummy head.

Do you remember what the were? "Style Club" isn't ringing a bell.

Yes, Style Club was the company. Below is a set of their stampers (which I thought was their coolest item), along with a list of the other products they put out at the time.
