Work in progress of the wearable Creature mask for the full suit reproduction! This will be a walk around suit for the 65th anniversary event to benefit Give Kids the World. Very excited to be a part of this event! I’ll post more info as we go!

The event was a great success! I did post follow ups but under a different topic so it may have gotten lost somewhere.

The suit debuted at Gill-A-Bration and was used again by Marineland for their Halloween event live show. We did a complete redo on the suit as the prototype still had issues as we had to take it to the Gill-A-Bration while the paint was literally still drying! The paint scheme was improved as we had more time and the aesthetics were improved as well. I’ll post additional photos as well so you can see some more of the suit.

The differences in the suit prototype and the Marineland suit were night and day! The prototype suit was cast days leading up to the show and the latex was still drying (it takes 72 hours or more for it to vulcanize and shrink to the proper size) and the Marineland suit had a good two weeks. Since we had more time, we put more into the paintjob as well moving away from the color Life Magazine coloring to a more muted tone with more contrast. In the end, it was a huge difference.

The Gill-A-Bration brought in over 800 guests and was a huge success for a specialized first-year show. We also netted almost $3,000 for Give Kids The World! That was huge for a show like this!
