Toy Fair 2019 – NECA Horror Figures
« on: February 16, 2019, 12:07:34 PM »
There are some incredible looking items here, especially the 8" Retro Cloth figures but it does look like someone's been keeping a close eye on DD and seeing what's hot (just good to know though that DD got there first  ;D).

I know and the Halloween 3 pack has different costumes on the kids then DD ones so they should make a nice pairing next to each other (as well as those They Live figures).

WOW! Where do you even begin here. Tops in my opinion is the Halloween II Ultimate Michael Myers. Sculpt and paint look amazing and box art is incredible. Love the accessories as well. The head sculpt is one of the most accurate out there of any Myers figures.

The retro cloth Myers 18 figure is also fantastic. Also, the 1/4 scale sculpt and paint is amazing from head to toe.

The new Pennywises are amazing, both the 8 inch ones and the 1/4 scale. The detail on the 1/4 scale 2017 Pennywise is off the charts.

Also, the Halloween 3 and They live figures are great. The Trick R Treat Sam retro cloth figure is beautiful as well.

There are some gems here I've definitely got my eye on. The Mego style Sam figure from Trick 'r Treat is probably number one on my radar right now. I've been wishing for years they'd come out with a Sam figure in that style. Given that he's got the look of a small child wearing baggy footie pajamas, the cloth look really works as far as authenticity.

I am equally stoked for the announced "Conjuring" line. I pre-ordered the 8" clothed Nun figure a while back, but the announcement of the Crooked Man came out of nowhere. I'm hoping they can expand upon that line in the future.

I'll also pick up the Friday the 13th Part V Roy Burns figure. Not that I love that movie, but I'm aiming for a complete collection of NECA's Ultimate Edition Friday the 13th figures, so as a completist, I'll buy it.

I might be in the minority on this one, but I'm actually getting sick of the dearth of Halloween merchandise coming out all of a sudden. I picked up the Myers figured from the new movie, and I've got Laurie Strode on pre-order, but between this, and the never-ending Halloween merchandise from  Trick or Treat Studios, I think I've had my fill of the Shape for a while.
The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed...

Watching the YouTube video. The Roy figure from Friday the 13th-part V, finally. The Halloween III and They Live Neca figures look, rad.

Neca has definitely stepped up their game BIG TIME this year!  What an amazing selection of new figures coming out this year!  Like Ian stayed earlier, Neca’s 8-inch cloth line will be a nice supplement to the great They Live and Halloween III figures already produced by DD.  That new Michael Myers Mego is off-the-charts good...I can’t wait!
