Very cool! I think sometimes we take these electrical marvels for granted and don't realize how much work it actually took to make these wonders of tomorrow look so amazing!

Very thorough article with lots of great illustrations!

This article should be required reading for every UMA member.

The work shown here is all the more impressive when you consider how much harder and dangerous they would have been before the age of computer-generated cartoons of the same.

Saw "Young Frankenstein" two days ago, and it was such a treat seeing the equipment used again, for what would be it's final appearance.

I have always had a fascination with his equipment; partly due to my father being an electrician. I attempted 2 machines of my own to varying degrees. I am going to cannibalize them and use the parts for a more Universalesqe device.
