I dig those REMCOS'

This episode of Basement of Horror looks at the Monsters At Home series of Universal Monsters hand puppets. This is the third and final segment on the Remco Monsters toys of the early 1980s.

Those are great! But like you said, Ray, too bad they didn't put more effort into the bodies. The little chests, coffins are fun, though.

This is the Season 2 finale of Raymond Castile's Basement of Horror. It is 2 1/2 hours long. This is an oral history of the UMA traveling monster toy exhibit that visited 12 conventions in five states over a six-year period from 2006 to 2012.  You will see archival video and photos of lots of classic monster toys, novelties and masks. At the end, you will see me build a giant monster before your eyes.

I saw the L.A. Monsterpalooza edition with Ray and Terry. It was very awesome.

Was that the one in 2012? I was there with MISSDEAD 13.

Fantastic wrap to the end of season 2 Raymond and I was there to the very end (even though the world has changed so much in the 10 days it took you to put this together)!

It was really interesting to hear some of the history of the UMA as I've only been a member on here for the last 4 years (almost to the day  ;D). I still use a few forums and don't really have much of a presence on social media for the most part so I'm glad that places like this are still around but I can see how people tend to move on into other areas to connect. This forum really got me back into collecting Horror toys and items and I've found both being on here and all of your episodes to have really helped to inform me of what's out there and the history behind it all. It's just a shame that I wasn't aware of this site years ago as I'm sure I would have many more things in my collection (and probably less vintage Star Wars things), but  I'm still very happy with what I have.

A very big thank you from me for all the time and effort you've put into these 2 seasons and I'm looking forward to seeing season 3 when the time is right.

Stay safe and hope to see you soon once again on youtube.

Cannot wait to see season three and the Mass hysteria to end.
