And that is why I'm always sure to sleep on my back when sharing a room with Raymond at Wonderfest.  ;)

Speaking of memorable quotes - today's quote:  Wolf Man's got nards.  Me and my daughter (Hannah - 3 and a half) watched Monster Squad just last night (or as she asked for it - Monster Squash).  The part when Fat kid is urged on to "kick him in the nards", Hannah says "They're not at Menards!"  (Menards is a Home Depot type store in the midwest, FYI.)   ;D

Some more quotes from the invisible man

If you try and escape by the window, I shall follow you, and no one in the world can save you

Put a warm rug in the car. It's cold outside when you have to go about naked.

The whole world's my hiding place.

Suddenly I realized the power I held, the power to rule, to make the world grovel at my feet

An invisible man can rule the world. No one will see him come, no one will see him go.

How can I handcuff a blooming shirt?

Cinematic brilliance from a man that NO ONE at this point thought could muster the memory or power to deliver these lines. To think of how he was wasted as a talent.

That speech was delivered straight from the gut. And with a helluva lot of heart too. Heavy heart that is when you consider what Bela had been through up to that point in his career. Unfortunately, most of his misery was brought about by his own hand and his stubborn old-world pride. A very moving speech which almost always brings a tear to the eye.

Thanks Scatter. Nice pic BTW!

Scatter, my sentiments precisely. Even so late in his life and at the smoldered end of his career, he had the presence and power to evoke emotion as only he ever could.
Love the pic, and in the spirit of sharing and a common respect and admiration for Lugosi, I offer this in return:

We went to the gravesite just after visiting Uncle Forry's Ackermansion in early 2002 (you'll notice the same shirt and ballcap in my avatar pic!)... someone had stepped on the slab with a muddy shoe (?!?!?!?!) so I was cleaning it when the pic was taken.
I put ths frame together in tribute.

Great pic Scatter...and I agree about his talent not being utilized. Despite some poor choices he may have made, Lugosi was never again given a platform that he truly deserved.
