Blacula and Carradine Dracula
« on: December 04, 2018, 07:37:37 PM »
I showed a Carradine Dracula Jeff Yagher head sculpt off here awhile back,. Designed as an "Aurora Replacement head". Joe Simon Did a Blacula. The producer, Escape Hatch Hobbies, offers many others. So, I thought: 'I bet I can modify those heads to fit Mego bodies". It worked. I bashed a Carradine Dracula and a Blacula. Paints by me. Hope you like, and get inspired to make yourself some figures too.

Those look incredible Anton and I do like the Nosferatu from the link you posted. I can see you would need to be good at painting if someone did go for one of these but there seems to be plenty of talented people around this forum  ;)

Holy Crap!  Those are tremendous customs, Richard!  As always, I am astounded and amazed by your paint slinging skills, my friend.

Just seeing this. That Blacula is amazing. I just messaged the seller on eBay, because it doesnít look like he sells them anymore. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, thanks, but I found the site and ordered one shortly after I posted my reply. I already received it and finished my Blacula. I am waiting on a box I bought for him now. As soon as it arrives I will post some pics.

My paints arenít nearly as fantastic as yours though. I went with a simpler vintage style factory paint job. Thatís just how I make my Mego customs.

Now I want to do a Tor Johnson, Monster Squad Frankenstein and Marvel Comics Dracula using their heads.

Here is my Blacula using the Escape Hatch Hobbies head. Still waiting on the box for him. I'll post more photos when it arrives.

OK, here are some more pictures of my Mego Blacula custom. Box is made by The Toyroom.

Thanks so much for sharing your customs Richard and bringing this noggin to my attention.
