Dollar Store Halloween Masks
« on: October 16, 2018, 04:02:03 PM »
Some kids' Halloween masks I bought from Dollar General today:

Fairly thick rubber masks with heavy elastic headbands, reminded me of the Silver Shamrock masks.

The Shrouded Skeleton Hanger came from Dollar Tree.

Every year those masks are released during October, the masks remind me of Topstone.
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Some day they'll each be worth hundreds of dollars, you watch!

Those are fun masks, I've had one of the Frankenstein's Monster ones for years, and I recently repainted it. I always thought that the sculpt was pretty decent for a dollar store mask.

I bought a new Halloween mask at the variety store every year from 1958 to 1964, and then just as dutifully tossed them out a few weeks after Halloween. I wish of course I'd kept them all.
