Why am I just now finding out about this? It's what I wanted when I bought the dbl with "House of Wax". This one came out 2 years later,  but I first ran across one a few days ago. Has anybody else see it? I bought one from eBay, $20 shipped. I saw some much higher "asking" prices. Anyways, cool companion to the script book I bought a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah, I have it. Can't remember exactly where I bought it though. Seems like it was from a bargain bin several years ago.

Don't know how I went so long without seeing one? It would have helped if I knew they existed!

I know, man. Sometimes something creeps up on me like that. Since we spend so much time keeping up with this stuff it almost seems you've slipped into a parallel dimension when a previously unknown whatever pops up. Kinda neat though since there's just SOOO much genre related stuff out there it keeps that sense of mystery and discovery alive for us.  :)

Maybe it's because it says "Promotional Disc. Not For Sale or Redistribution."?

I didn't even notice that! I looked at a few different pics and they were all the same. Maybe it was never released? I need to find out the story. Maybe something on the back will tell me, when it gets here.

Apparently, these discs are a repackaging of a bonus disc included in the HOUSE OF WAX (2004) remake DVD package. Still doesn't explain the promo notice.

"Promotional" sounds like the wrong choice of words.  It would have made more sense if it was labeled like single small candies, "Not labeled for individual sale" or some such wording.

Maybe it was just a very limited extra.

It looks like the 2004 DVD wasn't selling very well, so they stuffed it with other movies. I saw one with the '53 HoW and another with some other horror movie made by the same filmmakers as the 2004 HoW.

I was wondering about that "Promotional" bit too. I don't even have the 2004 remake. Maybe some stores busted up the package and threw this Bonus DVD in the bargain bin. Seems like I got mine at a Big Lots, or maybe a K-Mart or Walmart.

That's what happened!  :)  I was thinking just the disc was in a 2 disc case with the 2004 movie, but I'll bet WB produced this whole package to be bundled (shrink wrapped) together with the 2004 HoW DVD and case (which had already been released by itself and wasn't doing well). And then Big Lots, etc. broke them up, as they often do with box sets, like the Val Lewton set.

And that solves the "promo" thing. Thanks, HH!
