A little birdie has revealed to me they are in agreement with Lon Chaney Estates. Wolfman and Ghost of Frankenstein are apparently happening. Talking about a Kharis. This could prove very interesting.
And Kharis finally gets a proper action figure and it took us how long for it to happen?

Just got back from Target. Nothing there (except loads of Star Wars crap...enough!). Anyway, a helpful employee informed me that there are huge stacks of new toys in the back. They are not allowed to put them out early. This weekend is the release date.

I would have said, would a crisp 5 dollar bill change your mind? ;D

Is there a definitive list of all released Mego figures in this line?  (And all that have been announced for future release?)

There are now a ton of sellers on ebay selling these.

I went to 2 Targets and neither one had them. I really want to pick one up in person. The days of going to the store to buy toys seems obsolete now a days. Everything is on line now. However, how often do you get to go to a department store, go to the toy aisles and pick up a genuine Mego figure. This is something I am looking forward to.

Target Online is picturing most Megos now - some are in stock, others are coming soon.

No Universal Monsters are listed.

Check here (change location to a store near you) from time to time to check on status:

Official pics...

Well, according to that card it looks like they also secured the rights to Mark of the Vampire, from MGM. I don't know why.
But I would definitely say that this isn't licensed by Universal. Since Dracula's a public domain character and Bela played him on stage, that shouldn't be a problem. But that would be why, no medallion.

How do you figure they went through MGM (or Warner who actually holds the rights to the movie)?  I have viewed the back of the card on eBay and found no reference to either Warner or MGM.  The photo of Count Mora has been used time and time again on all kinds of unlicensed merchandise.  It is either in the Public Domain or can be obtained copyright free from an image service for products.  It would be cool if they went through Warner to get a Count Mora figure made, but I don't see evidence of that.  Am I missing something?

Dracula looks decent. Norm from Cheers is phenomenal. A lot of the others look incredibly crappy. That's supposed to be Hendrix? Really? Both of the I Dream of Jeannie figures are dreadful (especially Major Nelson). If I find Dracula on the shelf, I'll buy it. I'm not losing any sleep, if I don't.

With all due fairness, I think the new Mego Star Trek figures look pretty decent (except for Kirk), in addition to Dracula & Norm.  And for $15 I cannot complain.  I'd much rather shell out for these figures than dropping $15 on a new 3 3/4-inch figure, which in many cases lacks detail and looks nothing like the actual character.

Yeah, some of them are a bit questionable, but I think that's the charm.  All of them were questionable in the '80s.  The Tony Nelson was unrecognizable when I first saw him without Jeannie.  I didn't know who it was at all.  And even after I saw him with Jeannie, I thought he was someone else.  Not sure who...  haha  The Alice is pretty scary.  The Star Trek ones are pretty good, but the Lugosi is amazing.  They did very well with him, and that's the one I care about.
