Hubby said it was a point of pride for all the Boy Scouts in elem school to take their Boy Scout pocket knives to class.
Hell, most boys carried a pocket knife to school (and everywhere else) when I was a kid. We also didn't wear helmets when we road our bikes. This was way back, in the 20th century, of course.

I remember when kids started wearing helmets for biking.
We used to practice throwing our pocket knives to see who get them the deepest into wood. Remembering that from the good ol days I bought my daughter a set of throwing knives two Christmases back. She loves them and is a way better shot than me! We would also ride around on our bikes with our 22 rifles and no one even blinked. Times have definitely changed....RF
