I like that the Monster that Challenged the World one has an actual person for the wide shot and changes to a TERRIBLE dummy for the closer shot.  Does it pop his head or something?

No the camera shot just lingers a little too long and shows that awful looking dummy as it surfaces from the water. However, this one was worse:
