Keane and his boys loved their monsters! I love that everything up there is a real toy.

I'll bet there were a lot of parents who favored other toys over the Aurora Monster Models back in the '60's.

Thanks for posting!  Glad to see thin in this venue.

You sure as hell wouldn't see a 70s Family Circus where there would be Aurora "Monster Scenes" models on the shelf like The Pendulum, The Hanging Cage, Vampirella  or The Victim!

Even the TV show "Laugh In", attacked the Pendulum model kit for being a bad idea for kids.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

I remember seeing that!! Aurora Plastics won their "Flying Fickle Finger Of Fate Award" And Dan Rowan (or was it Dick Martin) demonstrated the Pendulum and I got a blast out of seeing them play with it too, not realizing that they were actually telling my parents I shouldn't have it.

So glad they didn't take it away (I think I eventually BLEW IT UP the following 4th of July). If they had, I would have just gone back to playing with my Jaymar Movie Monster Puzzles!
