Just saw this news over at Creepy Classics, Don Sullivan of The Giant Gila Monster, The Monster of Piedras Blancas, Teenage Zombies and others has passed on at the age of 80. This is heartbreaking to me considering how much I love these three films, especially Gila Monster. I've probably seen that film at least 100 times. I always get those songs in that film stuck in my head.

Heard a great interview with him a few years ago and he sounded like a good, down to earth guy.

Rest in peace Mr. Sullivan.

"....flying saucers? You mean the kind from up there?"

Sad to hear. I always loved his films too, especially GILA MONSTER.

"My baby she rocks... and rolls." RIP.

He came off as a nice, unpretentious guy in those movies.

For me, Monster of Piedras Blancas is my favorite, with Giant Gila Monster coming in 2nd.

I met him at the Monster Bash back in 2008 (?) and he was a very nice man.  As I recall, he was pleasantly surprised that anyone would care about his performances.

What up, Rob? How's every little thing?

I'm doing well enough, I suppose.  I spend most of my time watching movies and TV shows on DVD mostly, but some network and streaming.  Now that yard sale season is back in NJ, the wife and I have been out and about on Saturdays.  I seem to accumulate DVDs faster than I can watch them.  I gotten seasons of TV shows for as little as 20 cents.  Sometimes there is some horror and Sci Fi, but it's all different genres.
I don't drive any longer, so I try to keep busy around the house.

I guess "well enough" is better that "not so hot"! Could be worse. There could be a rouge planet on a collision course with the Earth?

Glad you're out enjoying the spring weather! I thought I was collecting too many DVDs at $5 to full price. At $.20 ea., I'd have to rent a storage locker!

Well, you can be strange, but don't be a stranger!  :)
