I think it was a pretty safe venture for TOTS even without this kickstarter program. It's only been 2 days and they are already over $280,000. I guess they wanted to make sure before they dove into it. Things are looking good for meeting all the goals.

There are going to be film prop replica collectors that will buy this, who haven't heard of it yet. I guarantee it. They may not even be horror fans, but know the film. I am only a fan of the first film, yet if I had cash to blow, and it came with a box....it might even tempt me.

Yes, word of a new collectible can never reach everyone. I image there will be quite a few people finding out about it after it hits the secondary market. Also, consider this, as of now, they are not doing any international orders. However, they are looking it.

Image if this gets international distribution. If this started out with International included, I have a feeling that the pledge amount would be much higher.

I think it all comes down to people wanting a very movie accurate Chucky doll without having to pay thousands of dollars.

If Sideshow was doing this I guess it would be at least $1000.

If I were a Chuck fan, and this came with a box: $500 would be considered reasonable. I have deserted my discrimination against the product, as I realize its very appealing to the core fan base. Much like I am with the original Psycho. I suspect it will make the 750k goal, and a box will be included before this is finalized.

I'm about 95 percent certain this will end up coming with the box. Trick or Treat Studios seems awfully confident they will hit 750,000. They cite the fact that the Kickstarter hasn't expanded to Europe yet and also those who are pledging at the retail level have not been factored in. And even if for some reason they don't hit that stretch goal, ToTS assured fans that they will come up with some kind of solution.

As an aside, ToTS also confirmed through the Kickstarter that they have plans to release comparable dolls of "Scarred" Chucky, "Possessed" Chucky, Tiffany and Glenn.

Either way, I will buy the box separately. The box completes this piece.

Yeah, not that I collect for the monetary value my pieces my accrue, but I've got a feeling that an original Good Guy Doll in its authentic original box will be quite expensive in a few years.

I agree. Not a Chuckster fan, but it's great for the diehards out there. I'm happy for them.

We are now over $501,000. Also, TOTS has assured us that when the retailer pledges are added, it will be over $1,000,000.
