I wonder if the prices on the NYCC advert flyer mean all Reaction figures are going up in price. :/

BBTS listed TMNT, Transformers and more Toxic Avengers (Crusaders?) At $17.99, then a week later listed Pee Wee at $14.99 and left the others still at $17.99.

I have been somewhat bracing for this for a while. I think any of the new manufacture stuff will have a higher price as a result of the tariff stuff that has finally hit all imports (including toys).  I don't know why it should make THAT big of an impact (to increase by $3 a pop) but I think that is what's happening.

I love 'em-- I think they are so much better than the SDCC versions, even though I liked the Japanese cards.   These are great-- the cards are simple but they utilize the original fonts from the movies and vintage promotions-- winners!

The tariffs will hit 30% in October. Unlike what someone is saying, WE will be the ones who pay. Merry Christmas.

Does anyone else find it a tad...odd...that 2 different convention exclusive variants for the monsters are being released before the "plain jane" standard versions? ??? ???

Last year we got the exclusive brightly colored monsters by July because that’s what my old order email says and I bought them on the site ASAP.

We didn’t get the standard ones until the end of October, as my order email on that is dated October 22nd and I bought them ASAP as well.

Just hurrry up with the standard ones. I don’t give two hoots in hell about anything else.

No. Regular release typically coincides with October/Halloween. Both Cons happen before then.

In my head, I designated you king of these reaction figures some time ago. Primarily due to your army of them, lol. So I knew you would chime in as to if this was standard practice or not. However...most companies usually put the "plain" versions out first? I am a bit surprised that 2 different exclusive variant editions runs are coming first. I too just want the plain ones and don't give "two hoots in hades" about the others, lol.

This has been S7's standard for the last 3 years, since their separation from Funko, although they did run late the first year. They got the bugs worked out of that.  The idea of pairing the release of the Universal Monsters line with Halloween is actually perfect marketing, amazing that nobody was ever smart enough to figure this out before, not even Remco. The variants are expressly for the Cons to promote the upcoming release, also good marketing and without prereleasing the standard figures. I don't understand the decision to do dayglo figures but apparently it was not as big as they had hoped because they went back to GITD which a lot of collectors like because Remco did it too. The colored glow is new tech compared to what Remco had available back then, so I understand trying to do something different from what has already been done. The one thing to notice is that there are only 4 Con figures and the standard release is usually 6, so the question is what are the other 2 figures?

Muuuhahahahahahahahahaha!

If you like.

Any complaints on the sturdiness if this guy? I never got around to getting him and really need to rectify that.

8 points of articulation:
 Ball jointed neck
 Shoulders
 Elbows
 Wrists
 and Waist
 Interchangeable expression head

Same basic articulation as the Morlocks, nothing below the waist. As sturdy as it gets without sacrificing all articulation.
