I think a big problem with the glasses is the price point. I think many fans would buy them (and the goofy looking Halloween buckets) if they were just priced right. You can't charge a premium price for mediocre looking product. I realize that there may be additional licensing with the actor's estates to get things to look truly accurate, but I think that the licensing fees (on both sides) need to be radically overhauled. It is in both Universal's, as well as the actors family's, best interest to keep these characters alive and in the public eye, with products that people actually want to buy!

For what it’s worth the Super Buckets have sold like crazy. Blowing away all expectations. I think it gets overlooked that Super 7 is a very small operation. Economy of scales dictate the costs on most things.

That's not a background. That's text on the opposite side of the glass.

Oh yeah, that is on the back side! (Text and some art.) You can see it on the Creature glass. Under the elbow, the word "Black" in reverse.

So, last year's 4 SDCC exclusive action (Reaction) figures on the die-cut cards were Creature, Mutant, Mummy and Wolf Man. This year we get, on coffin shaped cards. Frankenstein, Bride, Dracula and Invisible Man. So, next year, Phantom and Mole Man? (Who's left?)

Last year's regular carded figures were Mummy, Wolf Man, Creature, Mutant, Mole Man and Phantom Masque.
This year: Frankenstein, The Bride, Dracula, Invisible Man, Revenge Creature and, I assume, Reg. Phantom.

Wonder how much Universal gouges its licensees?

From what I've heard, a lot. When I was working at the comic shop my boss and I asked our Sideshow sales rep why they weren't doing any more UM statues or figures (they may have started again since, but I stopped checking). She didn't give details but she did say that they were asking too much for the licenses and the product line wasn't going to profitable enough to justify paying it.

No matter how simple or cheesy this Creature or the other three are represented as artwork/drinking glasses. They all look aesthetically pleasing. Plus, they will be nice companion pieces to my Anchor Hocking glasses.

There is also a coffin card Bride this year (see the third picture over in this post).

Cool!

The female monsters are under represented in horror.

Wish they would do something with Dracula's Daughter.  I think she is under appreciated.

Well, as cool as some of the stuff is: I am afraid I am not paying ebay prices. I really wanted the glasses as I collect the glassware sets and have the Anchor Hockings, both Spencer's sets (1980's and modern) and the Habib's cups from Brazil. Even the Pizza Hut kids's meals cups.  Here's hoping some of it is left and not damaged. I wanted the Wolfman hair paste last year: but the one I bought off ebay looked like a truck ran it over. Nt being negative....the stuff looks great. I just don't dig scalping and chase mentality.

I really wanted the glasses

People are taking pre-orders for those, like MIM and EE.

Monster Glasses (not the kind you drink from):

Also, as Mike alluded to, the drinking glasses will for sure NOT be exclusives.
