Presenting the "Cosmic Ray Diffuser" from Starlighting Projects!
« on: February 08, 2018, 02:45:01 PM »
This project is far enough along to share preview photos..

Originally created by the great Kenneth Strickfaden the CRD may be the most easily recognizable of all the Frankenstein film props. The look of this repro-piece was created with painstaking research and many hours of detailed work to develop a thoroughly accurate likeness of the legendary prop in all its glory!

Enjoy the gallery and let me know what you think!!

The Cosmic Ray Diffuser kit will be premiering at Wonderfest 2018!

That's awesome! Will it do anything, like spark, or simulated sparking?

Hi Mike.  Thanks for commenting!  I do have plans to offer the kit with with light and sound effects for emulating those of the original prop.  That is still in the works but you can see a similar effect that I use on my "Van De Graaff" Electordes of Doom!.

I would imagine one would have to know a little bit about electronics when putting this together, correct? I can barely flip a light switch without something going wrong.lol

Thanks for commenting Wolfman!  My goal is for modelers to have fun with building, painting and lighting my kits.  I design the electronic bits with that in mind and make the electronics assembly part as easy to use as possible.  No soldering is required and I use pin contacts for the connections.  The pin connections are designed so that they can only be connected correctly!
