Never heard that one, before! You mean like Woodward and Bernstein?
Yes! His investigative stuff is written under his real name, John Bloom. He started out as a journalist at the Dallas Times-Herald, then created Joe Bob on a whim in the mid-80s, when all of the drive-ins were starting to close but those that remained were showing films like "Basket Case," "Make Them Die Slowly," "Bloodsucking Freaks," etc.

His recent book is called "Eccentric Orbits: The Iridium Story." http://www.latimes.com/books/jacketcopy/la-ca-jc-eccentric-orbits-20160601-snap-story.html

He also wrote "Evidence of Love," a true crime book about an ax-murdering housewife in the Dallas suburbs in 1980. His secretary once told me he kept the actual ax used in the murder in his office for years! The book was adapted into the 1990 TV-movie "A Killing in a Small Town," starring Barbara Hershey. http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0099936/

He's a real Dallas treasure and bit of a local legend.

And we should be hearing an announcement from Shudder TV before too long about a new Joe Bob show, from what I've heard. 😉

GeekDragon, that video is FANTASTIC! Or I should say, "was."

I think there may have been a rights issue with some of the footage James Rolfe was using because the original video had a lot of TNT Monstervision footage in it and, upon a recent viewing, I noticed most of it had become still photos.

Still a terrific tribute.
