Star Wars The Last Jedi (NO spoilers, please)

EXCEEDED y expectations, which takes A LOT.
Go see it, go see it. What a ride !
Be certain you are ready for 2 hours and 45 minutes.
I will see it a few more times on the big screen.
There is about 5% or 10% of it I need to watch again to understand every detail. Yes, it's that big.

I have mixed emotions about this one. Some things I liked, some I did not. As a result of some of the directorial decisions, I have no idea what they will do with 9. Once 9 is finished...I may be as well.  :'(

I really wanted to like this more than I did; it was overly long and dragged in the middle. Also, some parts are at the very least, cribbed from previous entries in the series. Kylo Ren, instead of being a force to be reckoned with, still comes off as a whiny, petulant Darth Vader wanna-be. On the plus side, Daisy Ridley is amazing!

My son and I saw it last night. I really enjoyed it but I didn't catch all the intricacies that my son did. It's somewhat amazing that this franchise entertained me as a young man and now, 40 years later is entertaining my son in much the same manner. I wish the Universal monsters resonated with him in the same way.

Overall I enjoyed it.  There seemed to be a lite more mixing of the aesthetic from the prequels (the casino planet) and that of the original trilogy which the elements from the prequels in this small amount I didn't mind all that much.  The opening kind of irked me, felt a little "Gaurdians of the Galaxy" but luckily by the end I wasn't really dwelling on that particular moment.  I look forward to the ninth installment as well as the Han Solo standalone...and I believe after that is a Bona Fett standalone; man I really hope they don't F that up.

I thought this was a great movie, but a horrible Star Wars film.  There were a lot of useless scenes, the comedy didn't hit, and some things were just plain stupid.  I'm not sure who the target audience was with this film, being that there are mixed reviews, I'm thinking they didn't hit what they where aiming for.  i am interested in seeing how the next one plays out.  Maybe it will answer some of our still unanswered questions.

Likewise. I love The Force Awakens, but this one just didn't deliver for me. I won't be so eager for the next installments.
