I checked and prices went up little since 1933: they went from $20 bucks to $175 on the low end!

Actually, that's not bad. Using an inflation calculator, $20 is about $380 in today's dollars. Quite the deal at $175.

Thanks Mike, I didn't read the fine print carefully. 
My curiosity exists due to what I would expect are unique qualities necessary for a specific theater/ stage to host such a production.
The Broadway Theatre was formerly Universal's Colony Theatre, B.S. Moss' Broadway Theatre, Earl Carroll's Broadway Theatre, and CinĂ© Roma.  It has a large seating capacity of 1,761, and unlike most Broadway theaters, it is actually located on Broadway.  Kinda neat as I've never seen a Broadway show ON Broadway.  Supposedly it has a especially deep stage.
