Any idea on these films.
« on: May 24, 2017, 03:20:27 PM »
A friend described these tow films, and I honestly have no idea what these films are.  I figure if anyone can guess what these films are, it'd e someone on these forums.
Film #1
"Do you remember a movie where people were in a cottage, an old man and an old woman. Well to me back then they seemed old since I was about ten years old lol. All I remember is them and one other person.I think a girl. I remember a hatchet and then at some point hands glowing in the walls. Those hands scared me to death but now that I'm grown I want to see this movie and I have no idea what it is."
the second film she asked about.
"There is another one where a girl is sent to the market by her mom at night. She doesn't want to go but her mom makes her. She comes back screaming and pounding on the door but by the time her mom believes her she is dead and blood is coming in under the door.I think that was a werewolf movie but not sure. Both movies were black and white."

Somebody else was looking for a movie that could be your #1. Ask your friend if this sounds familiar. No other info.

"I once saw a movie on TV that had a scene so unforgettable and
shocking that I have searched and seached for it to no avail. I was
wondering if anyone there would remember it?

It was a murder mystery and a two parter. A husband had murdered his
wife, a sweet wife and loving mother, for a reason I don't remember,
and a detective was trying to prove that he had murdered her in his
own home.

The investigators did all kinds of tests in the house and left with
their info. The man was arrested immediately afterward, but they
didn't say how they knew he did it until....

the parents of the man, who were staying at his home during this time
to help him, ...went to bed. They got into bed and turned out the
lights... and there on the walls, all of the walls, were the glowing,
horrible marks of the luminol that showed without a doubt, how the
poor woman died!

She had fought for her life and you could see the gruesome hand marks
and blood spray as she tried to get away on all four walls.

The room glowed with the truth, and as it sunk into the parents
terrified brains, they huddled together in bed. And that's how the
first part ended!

Now that I hopefully jogged your collective memories, someone please
remember the name of the movie for me and put me out of my misery.
What I would give to see that delicously awful scene once more! Many
thanks for reading this and I will wait with much hope!"

"In a Child's Name", 1991

Easy to see why someone would remember this scene from so many years ago.  Kinda intense for a made-for-TV movie.

She said it was a black and white film that she saw on TV as a child, and since she's three years young then me, she would have seen this film before 1970, so it has to be another film.  But the first film was definitively "The Leopard Man.".

Aw, heck - I thought that was it.

Before 1970, huh?

That would have been when she watched them, and they left a real impression on her.
