Phoenix Candy Boxes - Repros and Fantasy Boxes
« on: August 03, 2017, 08:21:45 PM »
Here are the 6 Phoenix Candy reproduction boxes and 6 more fantasy boxes.

The original (1963) series of Phoenix Candy boxes included:
1. FRANKENSTEIN
2. DRACULA
3. THE CREATURE
4. THE WOLF MAN
5. THE MUMMY
6. THE PHANTOM

We have only front and back panels of some boxes and incomplete boxes for others, so the missing sides were made using our best guesses, based on a few complete boxes.

FRANKENSTEIN

Make your own full-size reproduction of an original 1963 Phoenix Candy "Frankenstein" box. Click this link to get the full size pic.

Print on heavy card, or on paper and glue to card stock. Fold on lines provided, cut out and assemble.

On the box top and bottom, be sure to fold where it says "Fold Flap On This Line" and not on the line where the color is different.

PHOENIX CANDY WRAPPER

Here's a repro of a candy wrapper used in the Phoenix UM boxes. Can't say if the size is correct? Probably a bit large, though.

COUNTER DISPLAY BOX

And here is the (fantasy) counter display box for your Phoenix Candy box repros and fantasy boxes.

These will all print out on your home printer, thought you might want to have them done at Kinkos for a better looking finish.

The plan to build the base box is not a to scale blueprint/template. You will need to lay out the box blank using this plan as a guide.

NOTE: The measurements on this plan may (almost assuredly  will) have to be adjusted to fit the candy boxes that you have made. Failure to do this may result in your boxes not fitting in the display box!

Base Box Plan:

Left and Right Panels:

Front and Back Panels:

Box Top:
http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/9423/counterboxtophm4.jpg

Below are small pics of the various graphics panels. All of the panels have a built in fudge factor, in case your box needs to be slightly larger.

Base box front (the back is plain) and side panels.
