Cool Display By Alvarez Wax

Not my pix but had to share.

At the Sahara Traders store at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida. This is what guests see when they exit the Revenge of the Mummy attraction.

Mummy looks cool but the rest of stuff looks like a big hodge podge. They should have made a sarcophagus with a tomb background. But it's Universal, so what do you expect. At least it's not a Tom Cruise figure.

It looks like the contents of an Egyptian tomb, so I think it looks pretty cool.

For a display in a giftshop I think it is amazing.

Beautiful display! While I couldn't care less about the new Mummy film, I have to admit that I love coat-tail marketing!

Looks like a museum storage room with lots of as yet unpacked crates.

Lovely display.  Wish I had the budget and room for one of those Mummys.

(Care nothing for the Cruise Mummy Movie.)

I believe these Mummy's are selling for 6 grand; so anyone interested is going to have to save up.

My favorite display was the "open house" that Henry Alvarez hosted one night inside his waxworks factory back in October 1994 >

All his full-sized monster figures and prop heads were arranged with spooky music and lighting effects >

My flash photos over-exposed everything but help spotlight the meticulous detailing in his work >

The exhibits included three great cinematic DRACULAs >

It was a sad day for us when Henry closed his nearby shop and relocated way up north ... and sadder still when he passed away
from lung cancer a few years later. He is fondly remembered by his many fans.
