I just finished another stop-motion video using my JACK THE GIANT KILLER Cormoran model as the subject:

Another great video! The just keep getting better!

Is that foreground flat? It almost looks like a model.

It's just a cutout mounted on cardboard screwed to the side of the wooden plank the model is standing on.

I thought so, but it's kind of hard to tell from a flat photo and the angle that the various photos were shot from aren't that different.

Gonna go look at the clip a few more times!  :)

I've wondered for a while now. Was Cormoron a tweaked version of the Cyclops from 7th Voyage of Sinbad? I know that the movie sued the other for being too similar. And they had mostly the same actors. And, of course, Harryhausen.

Cormoron appeared in the fairy tale version of "Jack the Giant Killer".

Harryhausen didn't do the FX for "Jack". Jim Danforth did most of the animation.

I knew what movie it was, I just thought Harryhausen did both. They still look very similar.
