But since I am doing some fantasy and repro boxes for the family/friends, figured I would make them a bit more pleasing.

Oh, by all means! Make all the fantast items you want!  :)  I love your Phantom and Hunchback!  I also did a Bride box for the World Candies set and started a Horror Hosts set.

If I could just find someone that made reproductions of the Planet of the Apes Phoenix boxes that would be awesome.

Do you have any large scans of them?

Here's some nice scans. Could have been a little bigger, but hey, gift horse and all that! Click, or save, for larger pics.

Here's also the stand up part of the die-cut box top. Make it whatever size you like, I guess?

Outer shells (e.g. boxes) are done! Still working on some of the "stuffing."

Finally received the last of the printed material!  Hoping to start stuffing the boxes this weekend.  For those who have asked about purchasing full sets, it looks like with shipping they're going to run about $15 (Paypal preferred).  For those who have asked about multiple sets or individual items, I'll figure out shipping on a case-by-case basis and let you know the total.

I'm away next week, but hope to start shipping in mid-October.  If you're interested, PM me and I'll send my Paypal information (or mailing address, if you'd prefer to pay via check).  Thanks to everyone for their support throughout this process!

Since the Custom Monster Halloween Boxes are pillow boxes they won't stand on a shelf and would have to be leaned against something. Since we don't have a proper display box to stand them in I decided to pick up a Halloween themed item to display mine in. I bought one of these spider-web plastic bowls at Dollar Tree to display them. It isn't as good as a custom display box with holes for the individual boxes, but in the absence of that it will suffice.

I hope to include a Best Plastics flat in each of the boxes (1 set) that I plan to add to my collection (if they'll fit). I have a few extra Best flats I was going to sell but I thought it would be cool to spice up my boxes with a little vintage monster goodness. I have an extra Frank and Creature and those will go in their respective boxes. The other four boxes will get a dino or caveman (as was the case with the original Horror Monsters Grab Bags which actually got 2 Best flats but I'll probably be lucky to fit one extra in there as tight as Jason will be packing these things). I also ordered a few empty boxes to stuff with my own treats...and they won't be Best flats.   If they'll fit I'll use Big Bucket Of Monsters figures but those might be a little too wide. Otherwise I'll use Walmart Zombies, along with some candy and whatever else I can scrounge up in the basement of monster stuff.

How are you other guys going to display your Custom Monster Halloween Boxes? Or, do you plan to just store them away (which would be a shame considering how cool they look)?

Nice baskets! As of last night, all the items are cut out and the first box is stuffed. I'm not entirely happy with the monster money. The fronts (which are the most important part) look the way they should, but the backs are all about an eighth of an inch off-center vertically, virtually eliminating the bottom border. Oh well; they were the most expensive interior "stuffer," so I'm still going to use them, but they might not make a return next year. For those placing orders, I'm not putting the money in the boxes, but packaging it with them since it has to be folded in order to fit.  I'll let you decide whether you want to fold yours to put them inside your boxes or leave them "mint."

Horrorhunter, based on my first "test" stuffing, I doubt you're going to be able to squeeze much more in there! Everything fits more snugly than I expected, and I had to try a few different positionings to get it all in. Definitely more than a nickel's worth of stuff in each box.

Hey, no problem. I like to keep my collectibles "pure" anyway. Maybe I'll custom design another set of the empty boxes with some of my extra vintage items. It's shaping up to be a good Halloween season with these custom boxes and the Monsterville stuff.

BTW, the new Overstreet Guide To Collecting Horror is released now and looks interesting. My copy is on the way. It's supposed to cover monster mags, toys, posters, and several other areas of monster collecting. It will be interesting to see how accurate the info is in it, especially the pricing. The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide is a wealth of information for comic fans, even though some of the prices don't necessarily reflect the market accurately. Hopefully the new Horror guide will offer some good info for monster collectors. Just one more thing to add to the fun this Halloween.

I'd like to see their estimated valuation for a good condition Clinton Toys 1964 Glenn Strange Frankenstein Bucket.
