I don't know the box measurements, but looking at one photo, the art on the box could be 12" high (same as the binder), but the image on the binder is cropped some. Anybody out there got one of the paint-by boxes?

The top photo is a Wolfman cardboard artwork insert from a binder placed directly over the PBN box top. Yes, it is the same with the binder artwork cropped.

Has there been any question as to whether these binders were made by Hasbro raised on this board?

???

It doesn't get any more definitive than that!  :)  Thanks RPM!

Had no idea those paint boxes were so HUGE! What are the dimensions of those? Do you have a Creature box?

Since they aren't marked, nobody knew for sure, but since the art is the same . . .

I also have a cutout of the Wolfman image from the Pencil by Numbers box top and placed it on top of the binder insert which is also identical in size.

The paint by numbers boxes measures 20" X 14"
Yes, I do have the Creature

I never guessed they were that big!  Is there a pencil-by-numbers Creature set? I've never seen one.

Can you scan the box front for me? I want to make a Creature binder for my Creature cards ad other paper stuff. If you can, email it to me, so we don't see "rare" Creature binders poping up on ebay.  ;D

What?! Are you saying that Hasbro Pencil by Numbers monster sets exist as well as Paint by Numbers sets? If so, are you saying that the Pencil by Numbers box tops are identical in size to the monster binders as opposed to the Paint by Numbers sets?

There are monster pencil by number sets as well. They are listed in one of the Hasbro catalogs, I believe 1964. Somewhere on here there is a picture of the catalog page, but cannot locate it. I forget if there were three or six monsters issued.
In my previous post I am stating that the pencil by number Wolfman figure that is cut out is of the same scale as the binder, but had background that extended beyond the size of the binder showing the red waist band and the lower hand holding the doorknob which is absent in the binder art. I believe the artwork for the pencil sets are the same size as the paint sets, but the box size may of been smaller, but uncertain of the box dimensions.

-Six paint by numbers sets(F D W C M P)
-Three paint/pencil set (F D W)
-Horror House Art box (culmination of other 9 sets)

The p/p sets (X3) /F D W- Same box art,  but boxes are 2/3 size of the huge PBN sets/ tall and thin instead, and partially die cut

Yes, that's what I'd call it. Look st the Wolfman above.

Monster Bob, so do you still have the plethora of those binders in your possession?   Inquiring minds want to know.

PS  I did not see a die cut box of the Wolfman as far as the paint set goes.

That's because the Paint by Number boxes are not diecut. The Pencil by Number boxes are evidently the diecut ones.
