My Waldemar arrived today and another fine beauty of a DD figure it is!

Once again a big thanks to the entire DD crew that made this figure a reality, fantastic work as ever and looking forward to seeing what's in store for us all for Halloweens offerings  ;D

Ian

Glad you like him.....as I slung the paint for this one, lol.  I hope my Miner and Wally show up soon. But with everyone's attention being on this hurricane, who can say if that's gonna mess with the overseas mailing and such? Anyways...good to hear ya got him and like him,Ian.

Mine is in New York clawing through Customs according to the tracking email I received yesterday.

Looking forward to getting the Naschy. According to the weather reports Florence's impact should only be felt in the Carolinas. I feared we might get excessive rain in the Chattanooga area but a local weatherman is calling for less than 1/2" of rain from it. I feel for those folks near the coast though. Can you imagine seeing your waterlogged collection washing down the street?! That's real Horror for you.  :(

My Night Of The Werewolf figure arrived today. Here's a pic of him and the rest of my DD Naschy trio.

The figure is very good (excellent paint job, Anton!). I was worried when the mailman handed me the box because it was absolutely beat to hell. It was open because there wasn't enough structural integrity left for it to stay closed anymore. Even the clamshell is dented pretty badly on the left edge and the left side of the bubble. But, the figure made it okay. I'm glad this wasn't in a cardboard display box like the 1/6th scale figures are because it would have probably been flattened. Good thing those clams are tough.

Great figures!

Did the mailman hand it to you like everything was fine? I have had them hand me damaged boxes and not even acknowledge it. There was a time when I was receiving packages that looked like someone was taking a broom handle and stabbing it through the boxes. I told the mailman, this needs to stop, I have received the last 2 or 3 boxes with almost idential puncture holes in the boxes. This seems on purpose now. It stopped happening after that.

Maybe if you message Martin, he will send you a new clamshell to replace this one with your next order.

The mailman acknowledged that the box was trashed, it was really impossible to do otherwise. I checked out the contents before I signed for it. He said if I found damage to the contents later I could still take it to the PO and start the insurance grind, but I'm not going through that mess over a clamshell.

If the damage is really obvious, it's much easier to refuse delivery.

The Post Office will return it to the sender and they will have to deal with them - after all, it's the sender that bought the insurance - not you.

You will get a replacement shipment while the shipper is still waiting for re-imbursement.

Nice. Push everything back to the shipper who in the first place subsides shipping costs and would be happy to double box everything if the buyers wanted to stump up the extra $20 for increase in weight and charges. USPS are a disgrace it's as simple as that. Horror hunter knows that the person who sent him the box, namely me, would do everything within reason to rectify the issues if asked.

The clamshell isn't a big deal. I'm just glad the figure got here okay. If you want to send a replacement clam next time I order another figure that would be great.

I haven't had any trouble with DD package damage since I ordered the Count Yorga 1/6th years ago, and M stepped up on that one and sent me a replacement display box. DD customer service is top notch.

The USPS is absolutely dreadful. I've  gotten items that were perfectly packaged, and still they find a way to damage them. I mean, they really have to go out of their way to do that level of destruction. My tip for DD collectors, is to replace your damaged clamshells with ones from figures you value less. For instance....i got a slightly dinged Hammer package and replaced it with perfect Karloff clamshell. Both are great, but Hammer is my favorite line to display.
