Norman Bates Lunar Models
« on: January 04, 2009, 08:01:10 PM »
Here is a kit a painted awhile ago of Norman, now discontinued from Lunar Models. I have to pattern the dress still, just didn't get to it yet. I used acrylics and pastels.  I know the pic isn't great, but I thought some of you might like to see this resin blast from the past. A great kit of one of my favorite characters. In fact, I'm working on a new sculpture of Perkins to put out, as there are so few kits of this character. In fact, I can only recall this and a bust that were put out.

Ah, Lunar Models.  I bought a lot of stuff from them in the early 90s.  Are they still around?

I loves me some Psycho and your paints look rad.  I really wish someone would do a diorama style kit of Mrs. Bates' Corpse and Normy standing behind her with his hands on her shoulders. Hint...Hint.... ;D

Although not a model, McFarlane Toys (I think), released a Norman Bates figure some years back as part of Movie Maniacs.  I picked up several.

absolute coolness. I am a huge fan of PSYCHO. Have you checked out THE PSYCHO LEGACY? It is a feature-length documentary that encompasses all of the Psycho films.  http://www.myspace.com/thepsycholegacy
If you produce any NORMAN/PSYCHO items... please let me know.

Well, I know you didn't ask me per se, but that's Prof. Jarrod from House of Wax to the left and London after Midnight to the right.
