Hawthorn Halloween Village: Psycho Bates Mansion and Motel????

OK--I think the Hawthorn stuff is neat enuff. I don't collect them though. While stumbling across the internet seeking blueprints for the fictitious Bates mansion for a little project I am considering taking on...I see an old thread at Hobbytalk forums where someone says they ordered this item from the Sunday supplement in their newspaper.

I've never heard of nor seen this item.

Was it even produced or was it scrapped???

So many questions, and I have no answers. So--any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I did an internet search, and nothing showed up fro the Psycho House and Bates Motel.  They had a horror set that included Leatherface.s house, Ferddy's House, and Jason's cabin, and that set may have had a Bates Motel sign, but no buildings.  If Hawthorne did a set from Psycho, I'd love to see what it looks like.

I think that lighted "Bates Motel" sign was all Hawthorne did.

Someone here would have known about the house had it been done.  I can say, with certainty, that no house was ever produced.

OK--well, I am certainly relieved to hear that it never made it into production, and I simply missed it. Now I don't have to worry about hunting one. What's the lighted sign everyone's talking about? Pics?

No pics, that I can find. I'm just taking the word of a couple of people on the net that it exists.
