While there are some nice little gems in this set, to call it "The Ultimate Collection" of Hammer films is a bit of a stretch. The Ultimate Collection of B-sides would probably be a better description.

It bums me out that the Hammer library is scattered among different companies. I’d love to see a single, massive set.

Coming from Mill Creek on November 17:

I guess this is the complete collection of all the Columbia released Hammer films?

I have everything on there except for the 6 Asian Peril, Pirate and War movies.

Tom Weaver sent me an e-mail, alerting me to this future release:

BORIS KARLOFF - THE MAN BEHIND THE MONSTER, 2020 - Voltage Films - (No announced Release Date, yet.)

(Click on the picture for larger image.)

This is a documentary about Karloff that is already in post-production, according IMDb.  Whenever it is released, I'll be getting a copy.

Featuring:

Guillermo Del Toro, John Landis, Joe Dante, Christopher Plummer, Peter Bogdanovich, Ron Perlman, Leonard Maltin, Sir Christopher Frayling, Sara Karloff, Gregory Mank, Roger Corman, Stephanie Powers, Ian Ogilvy, Norman Jewison, Orson Bean, Kevin Brownlow, Carloline Munro, Stephen Jacobs, Dick Miller, Peter Asher, Virginia Bates, Nehemiah Persoff, David J Skal, Donald F Glut, Derek Malcolm, Bernie Coleman, Lee Grant, Rick Goldschmidt, Stuart Hersh, Miles Kreuger, Valerie Yaros, H.M.Wynant, Diane Aubry, Anthony Pratt, Renee Glynne, Sharyn Moffett, Neil Pettigrew, Ruth Shiel,  Courtlandt Hull, Ron Simon, Jaymz Bee, Thomas Hamilton, Ron MacCloskey and more...

The official Voltage Films, Ltd. trailer:

     https://youtu.be/sNt4a93qSbs

The picture above is a screen capture from the trailer.  Looks like they will be using only the best available quality clips for this effort - unlike many other documentaries.  Besides the participation of Sara Karloff, they must be getting great cooperation from the studios.
