Hey guys, was wondering if someone could help with locating the best version of THE  APE MAN (1943). I know RETURN OF THE APE MAN was recently released on blu ray, but I can't find any info about the first film getting an upgrade.  Every dvd version I have has terrible audio. I'm assuming ROAN had a good version, but I couldn't find it on their site. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Nope, they never did that one. THE FILM DETECTIVE has a DVD they call a "restored version", but some say their stuff is no better than ALPHA.

Old Dark House? I just hope there are enough volumes to get a couple of Rondo Hatton films.

Old Dark House?

Just had a Blu-ray release a year or so ago.

The other 3 will probably be titles from The Boris Karloff Collection DVD set.

I'd like to see some of the Uni orphans, like "The Cat Creeps" and "The Spider Woman Strikes Back", but that will never happer.

Well...another double-dip for me.
