Two of the best posters from the 1970s!

The one that got away.

Thanks for that colorful sample of pages but my copy has "London After Midnight" on the cover. Yours must be an earlier edition.

I wonder how many of these Wowee Whistles from the sixties have survived intact?

Ben Cooper produced more Halloween costumes based on comic and cartoon characters than did any other company. Here are a couple of pictures of the Ben Cooper Superman costume:

The face sculpt of the mask is rather good, and the costume isn't too bad either.

Here for comparison's sake is a scan of one of my Superman comics:

Here are a couple of pictures of Collegeville's sensational vintage costume of the Metaluna Mutant from Universal's 1955 release of This Island Earth:

Evidently by the eighties this costume was marketed with just a card backing:

This Island Earth movie posters are also wild cool and highly prized by collectors:

Here are some good pictures of a Collegeville Creature from the Black Lagoon costume from 1980:

Here's another variant of a Creature costume issued by Rubie's in 1991:

I have one in a nice box.

Here's a variant from later in the 1980's:

That's the Rubie's from 1991. There was a bagged version that had the same mask, but a different costume.

So I believe I've now fixed all the places where I mislabelled that Rubie's Creature costume.

What's the difference in the costume, Mike? I'm unfamiliar with that.
