Here are a few pics of Mattel 's Strange Change Toy from 1968:

The "Lost World" sub-title of the Strange Change Game was probably in reference to the terrific 1960 fantasy adventure flick of the same name:

Mattel released this Incredible Edibles variant of its Thingmaker in 1966:

The candy-like gel which went into the molds was labelled Gobble-Degoop. A special Halloween variant was marketed as Gobble-Despooks!

Too cool, and delicious too I'm assuming!

When Mattel released Slime in 1976:

It was such a big hit with youngsters that Mattel followed up the compound in a canister with other variants including a board game:

Those Monster World were what monsterkid's dreams were made of. The front covers were always on prominent display in my bedroom. The ads were my wishlist for Christmas and birthday gifts. Simpler times.

Never say never! It seems to me that the bearded guy from the AMC show Comicbook Men found one at a garage sale in one of the shows earlier episodes. I still hold out hope to at least see the Ghostrider mask that was offered in ME comics back in the 50ís.
