I totally own a nice near mint copy w/shrink wrap of that very same LP.
Years ago I purchased a copy in a thrift store. Which later on with the rest of my vinyl was stolen. I found another copy in an Antique shop. Lucky me.
Sorry to hear about your vinyl. That's happened to a few of my friends. Records are like gold, these days.

I have one of those Remo Lost In Space Robots.

Speaking of Lost in Space, here are some pics I lifted from the net of the box and contents of the fabulous Lost in Space Switch 'n Go set that Mattel released in 1966:

Records are like gold, these days.

Comparing the two, gold is a lot shinier but records sound way better. In fact when it comes to sound, records also beat digital sources hands down.

One of my favorites is this Remco Mummy that someone decided to customize with surgical tape and weathering.

A buddy found it for me at a toy show years ago and I absolutely love it.

Interesting that Imgur images don't show up on my office computer but do on my antiquated home laptop.

It's possible that imgur has been blocked on your work's network. We have the same problem here at work with certain sites.

With respect to Lost in Space, Western Publishing(Gold Key) launched a comic entitled Space Family Robinson in the fall of 1962 with the first issue cover dated December.

The Lost in Space CBS TV series starring the Space Family Robinson was created and produced by Irwin Allen and filmed by 20th Century Fox. The first episode aired on 15 September 1965. The Lost in Space TV series had very obviously "borrowed" heavily from the comic.

This created a dilemma for Western Publishing. The company didn't really want to sue Irwin Allen or CBS for copyright violations since the company was licensing a number of other Allen and CBS TV shows for various Gold Key titles. An amicable settlement was reached whereby Western Publishing received an unspecified cash payment and was allowed to add "Lost in Space" to the title of the Space Family Robinson comic book beginning with issue #15 cover dated January 1966 thus benefiting from any spillover of popularity from the TV show. Here's a scan of issue #30 from my collection:

The comic was not, however, based on the TV show. Unlike the TV series, the comic never degenerated into campiness as did the TV show in its last two seasons. The comic ran until issue #36 cover dated October 1969. It was revived in October 1973 and another thirteen issues were published until it was curtailed again with the December 1977 issue.

The TV show ran for three seasons, the last two in colour. A total of 83 episodes were aired. Despite being slotted opposite Batman on ABC, the Lost in Space TV show drew noticeably better ratings than did Star Trek during their initial runs.

I'm not sure if this is just a rumor or a jumbled memory, but wasn't Space Family Robinson created by Ib Melchior? He is familiar to us for his SF movies like Robinson Crusoe on Mars, Journey to the 7th Planet, Reptilicus and others.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

Hmmmm, Ib Melchior you say? From Wikipedia:

Quote from: Wikipedia
He claimed to be the creator of the original idea upon which Irwin Allen based his television series Lost in Space, although he never received onscreen credit for this. In 1960, Melchior had created an outline for a series he called Space Family Robinson, which later became a Gold Key comic book.

So his may have been the idea around which the Gold Key comic title was based.

Quote from: Wikipedia
As a filmmaker, Melchior wrote and directed The Angry Red Planet (1959) and The Time Travelers (1964). His most high-profile credit was as co-screenwriter (along with John C. Higgins) of Byron Haskin's critically acclaimed Robinson Crusoe on Mars (1964). He cowrote the screenplays for two U.S.–Danish coproductions, Reptilicus (1961) and Journey to the Seventh Planet (1962), and provided the English language script for Mario Bava's Planet of the Vampires (1965).

Still, anyone involved in films such as The Angry Red Planet and Reptilicus richly deserves our highest regards!

And here are some pictures of Marx's fabled Great Garloo who enthralled youngsters from coast-to-coast in 1961:

If there's anything better than robots, it's making your robots fight! Here from 1964 are the Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots designed by Marvin Glass and Associates for Marx:
