Here are pictures of a couple of Halloween Baby Ruth boxes from early in the twentieth century:

Wow, just two cents for a full-sized chocolate bar!

The most Halloweenesque of the Revell "Big Daddy" Roth kits was the Mysterion originally issued in 1964:

In the 1990's Revell rereleased the Mysterion in a limited edition metal box:

The Mr. Ugly and His Friends series of PEZ dispensers were first issued during the 1970 Halloween season and were rereleased annually in the fall for the next few years.

Not surprisingly Mr. Ugly's lineup of friends underwent a number of modifications over the years and their appearance also changed slightly with the passage of time. As a result many colour variants of these characters exist:

Dr. Skull

Fishman

Mr. Ugly

Octopus

One-Eyed Monster

Pirate

Puzzy

Raven

Witch

Here's a book on Halloween collectibles that is itself now a collectible:

Speaking of books on collectibles, Bill Bruegman wrote several in the 1990's that acted to stoke my burgeoning interest in monster and other toy collecting:

For those who might not know of Bill Bruegman, he was a very early player in collectible toys and sold toys through his Toy Scouts company. The Toys of the Sixties book in particular was chock full of memories for me since it seemed to focus on precisely those toys in which I had the most interest.

Bill also launched Model and Toy Collector magazine in 1986. He was a true pioneer in the toy collecting hobby.

Gordy Dutt was doing his best to rival Bill Bruegman there for a while with his magazine Kit Builders and Glue Sniffers together with these books:

Hep, I subscribed to Bill's toy catalog back in the day, bought many things. Sure wish I could go back to THOSE days!!  I met Bill at an early Atlantic City Antique show, he actually came over to my house once from Ohio to do a massive trade with me. I also remember Kit Collectors Clearinghouse, it was a model club being run by an individual from Oklahoma, many, many people belonged to this club, as well as collectors overseas, it was great, I got many great things early on from this club. The club put out many price guides, some I helped on with pictures that were printed in them from my then collection which I still wish I had today!

One of the things I very clearly remember buying from Toy Scouts was a M.I.B. Wolfman's Wagon kit. This would have been in 2000-2001.

Evidently the Rev. John Burns who created the club died on 1 February 2015.

More info here:

Scale Model News - John Burns

I bought many of my model kits until the early years of this millennium from John F. Green who closed up operations when Ebay killed his business. Did you ever deal with John Green?

...some I helped on with pictures that were printed in them from my then collection which I still wish I had today!

Why did you sell your model kits then? What were among the coolest ones you had?

Hep, back in the day, I was receiving John Green price lists too, but I was determined to go a different route. At that time, I was mainly into figure kits, and I knew that the Kit Collectors Clearinghouse had collectors that catered to aircraft and military type kits, as well as a few die hard car kit collectors.  It was these kits that I found "in the wild" back then that I would use to trade with from members for their figure kits, it usually worked out pretty good, for both of us. At one time, I probably had one of the largest kit collections here on the East coast, and, my figure kit collection could rival anyone's!!  I took a real liking to some of the rare Japanese kits, I bought many from then friend Andy Yanchus at a New Jersey show once.  I always liked the cool, craziness of them. I kept a few of them back actually.  I still have them. The best kit in trade I ever got through the club was a trade for 2 Revell gift sets for a mint in box Godzilla's Go Cart!!  Bill got that one in that massive trade. Years later, I just had to sell to pay the bills, but I made one last trade with a fellow dealer-collector, it was for the original art that I posted a while back of The Confederate Raider! I figured it this way, I could always get the kits back, if I wanted, with a little luck, but, with original art such as this, if I missed the opportunity in front of me at the time, because the art is one of a kind, I'd forever kick myself.

No, Space Ranger was a concoction of the same U.S. based comic publisher which had introduced Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, Spectre, Green Arrow, etc.

Space Ranger was introduced in Showcase 15 cover dated July 1958. After a couple Showcase appearances, Space Ranger began a feature run in Tales of the Unexpected 40 cover dated August 1959 which lasted until issue #82 in 1964. Space Ranger then made ten more appearances in Mystery in Space before being dropped in 1965.
