Not sure you can use the term "must have" for things that rare and expensive. More like "never will have"! ;)

What about these ultra cool original teal Marx Creature from the Black Lagoon figures such as this one from Horrorhunter's collection:

Would you classify one of these as a "must have"?

I love that Haunted House playlet, has anyone ever played it as I'm interested in how it is once fired up?

Yeah, 'cause they're relatively inexpensive and plentiful.

A large Frank on his chopper was a nice find this year.

For a Sci Fi collectible, it's gotta be my 12 " Predator.

Also the tall Killer Klown from Outer Space with the mandatory DINO PJ's...

Frank was born to ride.

Also the tall Killer Klown from Outer Space with the mandatory DINO PJ's....

Pajamas just don't make it without dinos on them.

One of my fond collecting memories is trick or treating on Halloween with two of my best buddies in 1963 or 1964. At a house near Ridout Street I was given one card in a generic wrapper. Opening it up we discovered the "Hairy Fiend" card from the Mars Attacks set. We were awestruck since we'd never never seen any of the cards before and the card was absolutely wild! Without the wrapper, we couldn't even figure out the name of the set.

Nonetheless, that "Hairy Fiend" card became the prize of our gum card collection which was soon to reach 6500 cards or so. It wasn't until about thirty years ago that I figured out that our "Hairy Fiend" card was part of the notorious Mars Attacks set for which the legendary Norm Saunders did the artwork.

I've been pecking away at the Mars Attacks cards ever since but they're tough to get. They're highly prized because of their graphic content and are therefore demand scarce and expensive.  Moreover I don't think they were ever distributed in Canada so they don't typically show up in my neck of the woods. I've managed to acquire only these nine as a result:

Unfortunately I still haven't managed to find another "Hairy Fiend" card.

I have these four booklets issued in the late eighties by Pocket Comics as well:

One booklet for each of the first 54 cards in the set was planned, but the endeavour was sadly curtailed after the first four booklets.

The holy grail of model kits for any monster fan!

And here's the classic ad for this Aurora kit from the back cover of DC comics in very late 1964:
