It came out in 1965. I got it back when things like this often went cheap on ebay. It was never released in the USA.
The Hasbro Horror House Paint and Pencil by Number set was a Sears exclusive listed for $3.97 in the 1963 and 1964 Sears Xmas catalogues...
. . are 8 x 10. Is that 2/3 the size of the oil paint by number canvases?
Where's all this contradictory info comng from, Hep?
In case it was coming from me, I edited my previous post.
Well, I am feverish and fighting a nasty bronchitis,
Phantom, Mummy and Creature canvases are not included in that set. Here are some good discussions with images from over the years:http://www.universalmonsterarmy.com/forum/index.php?topic=25572.msg415747#msg415747http://www.universalmonsterarmy.com/forum/index.php?topic=31063.msg516788#msg516788http://www.universalmonsterarmy.com/forum/index.php?topic=31063.msg516788#msg516788Be sure to scroll back as well if you are interested.
...but the erroneous info is in Hep's post.
It's all pretty well laid out in the old posts I linked (with the exception of me thinking the canvases were x 19 back when). The Sears set is just the six sets available in 1963 minus the packaging and some supplies.
...also the Paint and Pencil sets don't contain canvases at all and the size of all of the sheets included with them (which includes portrait images cropped out of the images used for the D, F, W oil paint sets) are 8 x 10.
Is that 2/3 the size of the oil paint by number canvases?
