Haha brilliant! I'm currently reading Stephen King's IT. I read years back when I was about 11 years old so a lot of the subject matter went over my head, but what fantastic read it is.

Not horror, but Micheal Ploog did work on numerous horror comics and films. This Tom Saywer adaption is an absolute joy to read and behold...I read it as a kid and just picked up this copy to read to my kids on Sunday. It's forecast wet here tomorrow, so when it looks like rain, read Mark Twain! (I'm a poet and I don't know it!).

LLK, is the Ploog version the one from your childhood? Do you know the original C.I. one?

The Ploog one is the one I read as a kid, but I did come across that version during my search but have ever read it. I read the Ploog edition on Sunday, the illustrations are fantastic.

I've been diving into some of the vampire folklore books I've collected over the years. Vampire folklore is something I love to study, as it's such a fascinating subject. I wish there were more/better representations of folkloric vampires in popular media.

If anyone's interested in the three major texts I tend to consult, which I would say are essential reads for anyone dabbling in this field of study, here you go. For further research, you should find pretty handy indexes within.

I'm reading IT for the first time. I usually only read King's shirt stories.

Working my way through Stephen King's back catalogue, having re-read The Shining, IT, Salems Lot and Dr Sleep I've just finished Pet Semetary, and what an incredibly creepy and unsettling read it is. I read it in my early teens and was no where near as spooked by it as I was this time around, perhaps as I am now a father. The scenes with Gage, Timmy Baterman, and Louis in the woods literally had the hair standing up on the back of my neck. King is a genius.

The last 20+ years I have been going thru a ton of turmoil with many books I would have loved to read.
The last couple years its all about the timing. Love early S King.  The movie adaptations are a whole new ball of wax. Still very cool, especially Salems Lot.
I have several genres of writing I love and get immersed into. Old pulp,Weird Menace, and crazy ass violent Crime pulps.

Long live Cool stuff.
