The One:12 Collective - Universal Monster’s Frankenstein
Perhaps the most iconic movie monster of all time, Frankenstein first terrified audiences in 1931. Portrayed by legendary actor Boris Karloff as a terrifying yet misunderstood and tormented creature, Universal’s Frankenstein monster has gripped moviegoer’s imaginations ever since.
Cobbled together from corpses stolen from graves and the scaffold; reanimated by lightning, Frankenstein terrorized a small village while seeking vengeance on his creator.
Meticulously developed to capture the terrifying look of the iconic creature and outfitted on a One:12 Collective body, the figure has incredible details. The final product captures the look and spirit of the character as he appeared in the legendary film.
The One:12 Collective Frankenstein features:
- Accurate real fabric clothing
-Hyper-realistic portraits
- Highly articulated body
-Character specific sutured forearms
-Film accurate asphalt spreader boots

Included with this figure:
-Standard head
-Angry head
-Posing hands with attached forearms (L&R)
-Grasping hands with attached forearms (L&R)
-Functioning shackles with real metal chain
-Display base with posing post
Packaged in a deluxe, fifth panel window box. Designed for collector convenience, the packaging allows for both maximum protection as well as ease of removal for display.
Frankenstein joins the Collective in September / October and is available for pre-order at

Just saw this some where else. Looks amazing. $70 plus shipping seems ok. Especially since it is a new concept. Real clothing and amazing detail on such a small scale.

Hip Hop Frankenstein debut album cover FTW.  Yo!

In all seriousness, this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.  Can't wait!

I'm torn.  Do I risk the wait for a color version?  I'm also sort of underwhelmed at the accessories, compared to the other releases.

No color.... then perhaps none of my money. :'( :'( I dont collect the silver screens of these type of things. Gimme color. I was only going to get both versions if the angry head came with one and not the other. If I am sure b/w is all we are gonna get...maybe. Sooooo--some one clarify please. 8)

I was hoping they would do something about his hairline. As nice as the likeness is, they messed up big-time on the hair. I need to see this in person before I can make a decision.

I asked Mezco about the color version on Facebook.  This was the conversation:

Me:  Will there be a color version of Frankenstein available later?

Mezco:  There will indeed, but the details are still being worked out

Good enough for me.  Wait, I shall.

I'll consider buying one if they make a color version (I like Silver Screen movies, but figures.. not so much). I would also like to read some reviews from purchasers and see several in-hand pics before I'm sold on it.

I just got a notification of this item from BBTS. I like the detail and I think I actually would prefer it in black and white. However, I'm not sure I'm a big enough Frankenstein fan to warrant the 70 dollars, at least not yet. There are too many other things on my to get list first.

Good to know about the color version, I'll hold off as well for now.

For this range in figures there's normally a PX edition that is in color (different from the regular release), and sometimes Mezco do a direct edition that again can be a different color (like their Dark Knight direct edition that was in dark blue). I have several of these figures that have been released and must say that they're always better in hand. Also there are often differences between the initial pictures that advertise the latest character and the ones you receive, with the ones being sent out always looking better.

I have complete faith that this Frankenstein is going to look pretty amazing in hand but will wait out for the color release as it works better for me (as long as it's not bright green!).

Sseems to be some hesitation in regards to this figure. Some want a color version and some want to see it in person. All reasonable requests. I buy what I like and I do like this figure. This figure does have some extra appeal being it is a new concept design with the clothing and detail. Even though liking the design of a figure is the main selling point I subscribe to. I have to say that I have become really on board the limited runs of figure scenario rather than the endless numbers mass produced scenario. ;D
