It's becoming very difficult to collect every Universal Monster, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, etc....from several different companies producing these figures.
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Just an open question to fellow collectors. When have you decided its a good idea to call it a day on buying?

No, not yet. Perhaps in another twenty years....

To sit back and say "Because I am out of real estate to devote to toys."

The main focus of my collecting activities since I embarked on a quest in 1979 to acquire anything I either had as a kid or wanted as a kid but couldn't afford has been on items that don't take mega room to store/display, e.g.:

1. Comics & magazines. I still have lots of room in my comic and magazine filing cabinets.

2. Cards and food (mainly potato chips & jelly desserts) premium  coins. The cards fit easily into binders but I'm unable to find the shelving I want/need to store all my binders flat.

While the metal shelves visible behind The MAN are ideal for storing binders, they're no longer made.

3. Model kits and board games. Here I'm bumping up against the storage capacity of my display cabinets. I've not found dust to be a problem for the items within these cabinets.

It doesn’t end. Years ago I decided I’d stick with 1960s, except in rare cases. You have to decide what it is you want. Occasionally a new kit gets me, the Forbidden Planet saucer comes to mind. So I buy one. But otherwise, very selective. I save up for the big stuff.
