I am going to be in LA for the next couple days, and was hoping someone out there could recommend some cool horror collectible toy stores to go to? I have to believe they have got to have a couple places of interest to go to? Any help would be much appreciated.

Monsters in Motion has some incredible stuff (714) 577-8865. I left the phone #, since their hours have been erratic in the past.

I concur. Here's their web site.

I live less than 5 minutes away from Terry and Monsters in Motion.  They are in Placentia CA right off the 57 freeway.  The store is open Wed-Sat 10a-4pm.  Awesome variety of hard to find stuff.  If you don't see what you want on display, don't hesitate to ask if it's in stock in their warehouse.

I would also recommend a walk down Hollywood Bl. between Highland and Vine. It's still a bit shabby, but thee are many interesting places to see. If you're interested in picking up some great 8x10 stills or books on movies, stop in at the Larry Edmunds book store. There's also a huge toy and costume shop as well as a number of tourist stops.

One thing I'd like to add to this thread is that although these are all great places to visit, where you go will depend upon where in the LA area you are staying. Los Angeles is VERY spread out and the distance between many of these locations can be as much as 50 miles. Since your time is limited here I'd suggest concentrating your visits to locations where you'll get more bang for your buck. Hollywood Bl. is a good place to start and Magnolia Bl. in Burbank where Creature Features is located has a number of interesting shops. I hope you have a good trip and are able to see some of our LA sites.

Gracebuster and I hung out here and it is a good place. Besides Creature Features you have Halloween Town and Dark Delicacies which are all fun places to visit.

There's a place in City of Industry called "Frank & Sons". It's a huge warehouse with many, many dealers. They have action figures, toys, high-end collectibles, DVDs/Blu-rays, comic books, magazines, books, amazing custom figures (big supply), trading cards, sports etc.  If you're looking for Hot Toys, Sideshow, MacFarlane...there's even a dealer called "The NECA Lady" who specializes in all things NECA (cheaper than in shops). It's only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays (though Saturdays has more open booths). They occasionally have B-movie stars and athletes signing autographs. It's VERY popular so parking is a real bitch. It's a good way to spend hours with fellow toy & figure nerds.

I've been meaning to get over there. It looks fun.
