Mummy kit
« on: July 04, 2015, 09:23:35 PM »
Finally got the time to finish this kit, got him opened at a toy show a year ago for $5.00. Hoping all the pieces were there and they were. Used a different head, more Boris likeness.

Looks great. Clearly a replacement head thoguh. Also looks like a replacement head on the (formerly?) Ben Cross Barnabas in the background.

If the head's supposed to look like Karloff then why does it have the melted eye of Kharis?

I love the base of the Mummy kit with the pottery and the snake. The Mummy is right up there with the Bride of Frankenstein among my favourite Aurora model kits!

Its not supposed to be Karloff, but they do make a Karloff.

Karloff:

I think YoungestMonsterKid was referring to what you said in your original post:

Great looking model! Very nice paint work! Love the replacement head, excellent Chaney likeness! Big improvement over the stock head.

As have I, my dear Doctor.  Hmm...I was going to post a link to Tom's web site, but they seem to be having problems over there.  On the assumption that the technical difficulties will be solved soon, here's the address: http://www.copp.headplug.com/ You'll just have to go into "cut-and-paste-into-your-browser's-address-bar" mode to find it.
I build, therefore I am.
